Saltleaf Golf Preserve (The Preserve) sits beside Estero Bay in Estero, Florida, adjacent to the state's first aquatic preserve and a 144-acre Florida uplands habitat with no homes in sight. Designed by Raymond Floyd and managed by Troon, the 18-hole course works with the land rather than against it. There are no formal bunkers, and the terrain has been minimally altered, leaving lakes, indigenous plantings, and trails through wild spaces largely intact. Binoculars are a genuine bag recommendation here. A 9-hole fun course is also open for play alongside the main 18-hole layout.
