Description
Royal Golf de Ben Slimane is an 18-hole course in Ben Slimane, Morocco, set within a park-like landscape of ancient cork oaks, pines, eucalyptus, and flowering meadows. A large lake running the length of the course is home to carp and ducks, and water comes into play on five holes. The design is the work of architect David Coen, who uses the lake as a demanding strategic element. The par-3 8th, at 180 metres, requires a composed, powerful strike to reach a green set on a small island planted with papyrus. On the 9th hole, wayward shots into the left-hand grove may earn you a close encounter with the snail — the club's official emblem.
