Description
Ross-on-Wye Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course set among the rolling hills of Herefordshire, designed by Ken Cotton in the early 1960s and later advised by Donald Steel, the architect behind the championship redesign of the Jubilee Course at St Andrews. The layout follows the natural contours of the land, rewarding a measured approach — play too aggressively and the course will make you pay. The setting is rich with wildlife throughout the year: wild daffodils and bluebells fill the woods in spring, autumn colour makes for a rewarding walk in its own right, and squirrels, buzzards, and the occasional Muntjac deer are regular companions on the round. Rated 4.6 by Hole19 golfers, it is a well-regarded destination in any season.

Old NubianJune 19, 2022This course is an absolute gem. Very well maintained lush greens. This is a thinking man’s/woman’s course, course management is key to getting a good score. Very friendly staff. I would definitely play it again.
