"Billy" Bell and opened in 1939, this 18-hole municipal parkland layout in Fresno, California plays to a par of 71 across 5,292 to 6,674 yards. Tree-lined fairways run across gently rolling terrain along a San Joaquin River setting. The course has earned recognition from the National Golf Foundation, Audubon International (certified and recertified as a Cooperative Sanctuary), Fresno Magazine's Best Public Golf Course, and the GCSAA/Golf Digest 2009 ELGA Chapter Award for Public Facilities. It has also hosted the Fresno City Championships. A driving range offers small, medium, and large ball buckets, plus an unlimited membership option. A short game practice area — the 19th Hole Practice Area — is available at $5 per hour. The Golf Shop handles bookings and merchandise.
