Description
Ridgewood Golf Course, a public 18-hole layout in Parma, Ohio, opened in 1925 and was designed by Sandy Alves. It is a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Ohio. The course plays to a par of 70 over 6,100 yards of rolling, wooded land. Water hazards in the form of creeks come into play on six holes, and bunkers add further definition throughout. Hole 13 is a 615-yard par-5 uphill dogleg right, and hole 11, at 451 yards, earned a place in the Elite 18. The course hosted the USGA Public Links in 1927. PGA Professional David Chuba offers individual lessons (45 minutes, $50) and group lessons (60 minutes, $50 for the first student, $15 per additional, up to five students). The clubhouse includes a full bar and snack bar, a golf shop, and banquet facilities, all open from March 1st through mid-December.
