Quaker Hill Country Club

Quaker Hill Country Club, a private 9-hole course in New York's Hudson Valley, plays to a par of 70 over 6,000-plus yards. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened in 1940, the layout moves across rolling fairways, with strategically placed bunkers and small, undulating greens adding precision demands throughout. Golf Digest has ranked it among the Top 25 9-Hole Courses in America, and it also appears on the Top 25 Golf Courses in the Hudson Valley (2021). PGA Professional Tony Vos offers private lessons on site. The clubhouse is a converted barn with genuine history — founder Lowell Thomas used it as a broadcast studio — and includes the History of Civilization fireplace and the Nine Old Men's Room. The Barn restaurant serves fresh, seasonal cuisine with sweeping views, open Wednesday through Saturday.
