Description
Quail Hollow Golf Course is a municipal layout in the Boise Foothills and one of the most-played courses in Idaho on Hole19. The 18-hole, par-70 design stretches 6,325 yards from the back tees, carrying a course rating of 70.7 and a slope of 129. Originally opened in 1982 under the name Shamana, the course was designed by Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge. It has since gone through several changes, including its current name. The layout rewards careful play. Strategically placed hazards, notable elevation changes, and sloped greens keep golfers engaged throughout the round. Views of the Treasure Valley and the surrounding mountains add to the experience, as does a lively wildlife presence — deer, rabbits, bobcats, foxes, and various birds are regularly spotted on the course.

Challenging greens and a variety of shapes on each hole. Lots of elevation changes. Fun even if you’ve never broken 100, and challenging even if you’re a low handicapper. For the money it’s one of the best public courses in Idaho.
