Province Lake Golf Course

Province Lake Golf Course, a public 18-hole layout in Parsonsfield, Maine, opened in 1918 and was shaped by designers Lawrence Van Etten and Brian Silva. The course blends links and parkland character across terrain marked by Province Lake views, mountain views, water hazards, and fescue. Several holes make strong use of the lake setting. Hole 6, Lakeside Belle, is a 530-yard par-5 that runs along the shore of Province Lake. Hole 8 features an hourglass fairway with a brook crossing at 382 yards. Hole 11 plays 175 yards downhill to a large green with a lake view. Hole 17, Temptation, is a 382-yard par-4 dogleg left with a 6,000-square-foot green. The course has hosted the Rough Cut Golf Tournament. Practice greens are available on site. The clubhouse includes the Carriage House Bistro, serving homemade dishes and crafted cocktails, a wraparound veranda overlooking the course and Province Lake, a Fitness Center, and a Pro Shop reachable at 207-793-4040.
