Prairie Vista Golf Course

Prairie Vista Golf Course, a municipal layout in Bloomington, Illinois, was designed by Roger Packard and opened in 1991 in an American Contemporary Style. Water hazards come into play on 16 of the 18 holes, and bentgrass tees, fairways, and greens run throughout the course. From the back tees the layout stretches to 6,745 yards, with a shorter option from 5,224 yards. The course has hosted the 1997 NCAA Division I Women's East Regional and has held the Illinois High School Association's Class A Boys State Championship since 1993. Golf Digest has recognized it as a Places to Play 4-Star Golf Course, and it is a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Illinois. Practice options include a grass driving range, a large putting green, and a chipping green with a practice sand bunker. Lessons are available on site. The full-line Golf Shop carries equipment and apparel at discount prices, and banquet facilities are on the property.
