Potowomut Golf Club

Potowomut Golf Club is a private 18-hole course in Warwick, Rhode Island, sitting on rolling terrain near Narragansett Bay. Designed by Walter Johnson and opened in 1927, it plays to a par of 71 over 6,380 yards. The layout rewards attention from the first step. Hole 1 sets the tone with a fairway bunker and a green bunkered left and right. Hole 2 bends left around a water hazard to the largest green on the course. Hole 3 is the shortest par-3, with a small, severely sloped green ringed by bunkers. Hole 12, the longest par-3, adds hidden water and out of bounds. The closing hole finishes with an elevated green over water. Practice facilities include a driving range with three alternating grass setups and a short-game area with a chipping green and practice bunker. The clubhouse has a full bar, a pro shop stocked with apparel, accessories, and equipment, and indoor and patio spaces. Potowomut Golf Club is one of the most-played courses in Rhode Island on Hole19.
