Pitlochry Golf Course

Pitlochry Golf Course is a public 18-hole layout in Pitlochry, Scotland, designed by Willie Fernie and opened in 1908. Ranked number 58 in the Top 100 Courses in Scotland, it plays to a par of 69 over 5,700 yards of tree-lined fairways, undulating greens, and a mountainous backdrop. The course hosts a full calendar of open competitions, including the Gents Highland Open, Ladies Highland 5 Day Open, Col Butter Highland Open Mixed Greensomes, and the Enchanted Autumn Classic Team Stableford, among others. Practice facilities are extensive: a driving range stretching over 300 yards with six indoor sheltered bays and five outdoor bays, marked yardages, target greens, and practice bunkers, plus a putting green and a dedicated short game area. Golf tuition is available from club professional and UK top 50 coach Gary Casey, with a dedicated teaching bay. The Pro Shop is open 8.30am–5.00pm with equipment hire available. The Red Deer Pub and Restaurant serves a menu to suit all tastes with daily specials, fresh coffee, and home baking, alongside a fully stocked bar and an extended covered and heated outdoor deck and lawn.
