Pirin Golf & Country Club (Main) is an 18-hole, Par 72 championship course in Blagoevgrad Province, Bulgaria, designed by 2006 Ryder Cup-winning captain Ian Woosnam. The layout moves through rough, rugged terrain built to challenge golfers at every level. Whether you favor the aerial line or a lower chip-and-run approach, the course offers multiple routes from tee to green — rewarding creativity as much as power. With 80 bunkers spread across the course, risk management is a constant factor. Few of those bunkers offer an easy exit, and many golfers will find it smarter to play safe than to take on the more direct, aggressive option.

G SchaefeApril 14, 2026Für meinen Geschmack ist der Kurs auf den ersten 9 Loch recht langweilig. Man braucht halt Länge und Richtung. Einzig die 3 bringt Spaß. Zudem ist die Beschilderung/Wegweisung als sehr mangelhaft zu bezeichnen. Für Insider sicher kein Problem, für Gäste aber schon eine Herausforderung. Die zweiten 9 sind da wesentlich anspruchsvoller zu spielen und auch durch die Waldlage sehr schön zu spielen. Aber auch hier kommt es durch die Umgestaltung teilweise zu Verwirrungen. Abschließen ist noch anzumerken das ein Cart 40,-€/Tg kostet. Die Flasche Wasser kostet 1,80€ für Wasser(!) . Das in der Werbung gezeigte Halfway ist zumindest während des Aufenthaltes entweder überhaupt nicht aufgebaut, geschlossen oder als PP genutzt. Alls in allem nicht das Geld wert.

Leslie GreenJune 02, 2019Great condition. Front 9 need take extra care on club selection and being straight down the fairway as the trees are close and unforgiving! Back 9 more room for wider shots. Greens in good condition and bunkers are real traps!
