Pelican Pointe Golf & Country Club

Rated one of the most-played courses in Florida on Hole19, Pelican Pointe Golf & Country Club in Venice, Florida brings consistent recognition to back that up. Designed by Ted McAnlis and opened in 1995, the semi-private layout plays across 27 holes ranging from 5,326 to 7,182 yards, routed through nature preserves, wetlands, lakes, live oaks, and meandering streams. The course has held the Reader's Choice award from Sarasota County residents every year since 2001, and was voted the #1 Best Golf Course Community and #1 Semi-Private Golf Course in Venice for 2025. The club is also home to a former LPGA National Teacher of the Year. Practice facilities include an all-grass driving range with 25 turf grass hitting stations, an 8,000 square foot putting green, a separate chipping and pitching green, and a practice bunker. PGA and LPGA trained instructors offer individual and group lessons, with video swing analysis available. The 22,000 square foot clubhouse serves lunch daily from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and hosts an award-winning Holiday Brunch, alongside golf banquets, weddings, and anniversary events.
