Palos Verdes Golf Club

Palos Verdes Golf Club, a private 18-hole course in Palos Verdes Estates, California, was designed by William P. "Billy" Bell and George C. Thomas and opened in 1924. The layout plays across hills and barrancas, with creeks in play and ocean views throughout the round. At par 71 and between 6,433 and 6,480 yards, the course rewards precision over length. Hole 4 is a steep downhill par 3 that frames a view of snow-capped Mt. Baldy in winter. The course is rated 5.0 and is one of the most-played courses in California on Hole19, based on 60+ golfer ratings. The clubhouse is a Historical Building designated by the Palos Verdes Historical Society and includes the Palos Verdes Ball Room. Oakley's, the on-site restaurant, serves upscale casual dining Tuesday through Sunday.
