Paint Creek Country Club

Paint Creek Country Club, a semi-private 18-hole course in Orion Charter Township, Michigan, opened in 1960 to a design by Don Childs. The layout moves across a rolling landscape of knolls and hillsides shaded by stands of oak, ash and maple, with creeks and wetlands threading through the routing. Bent grass fairways lead to island and peninsula greens, and doglegs add directional variety across the round. Practice facilities include a unique aqua driving range with floating balls and a practice putting green with a practice sand bunker. The pro shop is well-stocked, and the clubhouse includes a 225-seat main dining room that overlooks the golf course, a main lounge, and a restaurant serving casual fare, wraps, hot dogs and brats Monday through Sunday from 12:00–6:00 pm in spring, summer and early fall. A state-of-the-art fitness facility comes with locker rooms, saunas and an indoor golf net, alongside a Junior Olympic pool, kiddie pool, adult hot tub and tennis courts. Paint Creek Country Club ranks as one of the most-played courses in Michigan on Hole19.
