Old Works Golf Club in Anaconda, Montana, occupies one of the most distinctive sites in American golf — a former copper smelter that once sat on a Federal EPA Superfund site. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the 18-hole layout was the first course ever built on such a site, and the design deliberately incorporates historic relics from the old smelter into the course itself. Affordability, well-maintained conditioning, and friendly service have helped Old Works earn a reputation as one of the premier daily-fee experiences in the Northwest. It is also a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Montana.
