Old Karuizawa Golf Club

Old Karuizawa Golf Club is a highland course set among hills and forest in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture, Japan, playing across 12 holes surrounded on three sides by mountains. Maple and white birch trees are scattered throughout the layout, and mature, densely grown woodland separates each hole, giving the course a garden-like character. Every hole features undulation, rewarding a precise, strategic game over raw power. Bunkers are concentrated around the greens, and the putting surfaces themselves are heavily contoured and difficult to attack directly.
