Ocean Shores Country Club

Ocean Shores Country Club is an 18-hole championship course in Ocean Shores, New South Wales, designed in the late 1960s by Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge. The layout is carved through native flora, tidal lakes, and rivers, with the Koonyum Ranges as a backdrop to the west and Pacific Ocean views toward Byron Bay to the east. The course features a rare and deliberate distribution of six par-3s, six par-4s, and six par-5s — with no two holes of the same par played consecutively, giving the round a distinct rhythm. Large greens protected by extensive bunkering are a defining characteristic. Surfaces are a combination of tifdwarf and tifeagle grasses, producing some of the fastest and purest putting conditions in Northern New South Wales.
