Ocean Hills Yeong Cheon Country Club

Ocean Hills Yeong Cheon Country Club is a 27-hole course in Yeongcheon-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea, designed by PGA Tour player Vijay Singh on a 1.36 million m² site at the foot of Unju Mountain. Singh visited the site in July 2010, personally overseeing the layout hole by hole. All 27 holes are seeded with bentgrass from tee to green, giving the course a noticeably different look from conventional Korean layouts. The design follows a Scottish links-inspired style — relatively rare in a country dominated by mountain terrain — allowing for a more relaxed, open round. Greens adjacent to water features include a heating system that prevents balls from bouncing into hazards during winter play. The three courses are named Sun, Star, and Moon. The clubhouse adopts a distinctive ring shape, chosen to symbolise keeping a promise to guests, and offers panoramic views of all three courses from inside.
