Oakwood Country Club

Oakwood Country Club is a private 18-hole course in Coal Valley, Illinois, designed by Pete Dye and with a tournament history that includes the Ed McMahon-Jaycees Quad Cities Open (1975), the Miller High Life Quad Cities Open, the Lite Quad Cities Open, the Hardees Golf Classic, and the Quad City Classic. The layout moves through trees, hills, and a valley, with undulating fairways, bunkers, and a lake in play. Hole 9 is known for its overhanging tree at the 100-yard marker. Hole 16 gained notoriety when Tiger Woods four-putted it. A complete practice area covers long and short game, and two PGA professionals and staff are available for lessons. The newly renovated Oakwood Golf Shop is owned and managed by the Club's golf professionals. The clubhouse includes a full-service dining room overlooking the 18th green and a lounge with casual atmosphere and full food and beverage service. Banquet and meeting facilities accommodate up to 300 guests.
