Northwinds Peninsula Golf Club

Northwinds Peninsula Golf Club, located in Indian Lake, Pennsylvania, holds a notable place in golf history as the first course ever designed by Arnold Palmer. The original nine holes opened in 1967, and the club established itself as a private, member-owned facility that grew into one of the premier private clubs in the region. In 1983, a rustic clubhouse was built to complement the surrounding woodland setting. The course features tree-lined fairways, undulating greens, and abundant wildlife, giving it a peaceful, one-of-a-kind character that Palmer himself considered to exceed his own expectations. In 1994, the membership voted to construct an additional nine holes, bringing the course to its current 18-hole layout.
