Northfield Golf Club

Northfield Golf Club draws a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Minnesota, and the course behind that reputation has real substance. Opened in 1926 and designed by Don Herfort, ASGCA, with a redesign by Garrett Gill, ASGCA, this private 18-hole layout sits on rolling terrain along the Cannon River in Northfield, Minnesota. Several holes stand out. The opening hole is a dogleg left par 5 with a tricky green. Hole 3 is the number one handicap hole — the longest par four on the card, uphill all the way. Hole 7 is the shortest hole on the course, ringed by bunkers on all sides. Practice options include a short game facility and individual and group instruction. The clubhouse includes the NGC Grille/Bar on the main level, a Member's Lounge, member locker rooms, a newly expanded patio, and banquet rooms available year round.
