Description
Designed by James Braid and opened in 1910, North Shore Golf Club sits on the Lincolnshire coast at Skegness, England, combining links and parkland terrain alongside the North Sea with views across the Wash to the Norfolk coast. The course plays to par 71 over 6,214 yards across 18 holes, and holds a place in the top 100 golf courses in the UK. It is rated 4.7 by 60+ Hole19 golfers. Access is semi-private. Practice facilities include a double bay warm-up practice net, a small pitching area, and golf training and coaching for beginners and advanced players, with a weekly Junior Academy class on Tuesdays from 17:00 to 18:00. The pro shop is open seven days a week and carries Ping custom fit and the Ping ladies clothing collection. The clubhouse includes James' Restaurant, serving a three-course table d'hôte style menu seven nights a week using locally sourced produce that changes daily, in a room with oak panelling and sea views. The Braid Bar is open every day from 10am until late, offering real ales, lager, bar snacks, breakfast until 11:30am, lunch from 11:30am, and an evening menu from 5pm.

Tony AplinJuly 31, 2025This mixture of links and park land is now our annual trip away. From the first time playing we’ve fell in love with the varied challenges it has to offer. Pending weather and course conditions also changes the landscape of the course. This year it was bone dry rough was like a fairway and the distance you got in shots you gained 20-30yards however previous year colder and wetter summer made the roughs unplayable and the wind hard to conquer. Well worth a play and experience for yourself.
Mike SidebothamNovember 22, 2024Played at end of November so fairways and greens were solid from the frost but many of the greens should have been moved to the winter ones - the summer ones were absolutely solid and many covered in snow still. Nice holes but too many crossovers so chances of being hit by others golf balls is high.
