Newport Golf Club

Newport Golf Club spans 18 holes across rolling parkland in Rogerstone, Wales, United Kingdom, measuring 6,500 yards and sitting 300 feet above sea level. The layout was designed by Harry Shapland Colt and opened in 1912, routed through birch, beech, and oak trees within the ancient Llwyni Wood. The club has a strong tournament record. It hosted the R&A Women's Open Championship in 1994, the Wales Men's Amateur Championship in 2023, multiple editions of the Wales Men's Amateur Open Strokeplay Championships, and has been a long-running venue for the Wales Ladies' Amateur Championships and Wales Ladies' Amateur Open Strokeplay Championships. The semi-private club includes a bar with two large TVs serving drinks and light snacks, a restaurant with a menu running from breakfast and light lunches through to full 2- and 3-course dinners for golf days and corporate events. The clubhouse also has a purpose-built patio, a spacious lounge and dining area, and step-free entry to the bar and function rooms.
