Rated 4.6 by 60+ Hole19 golfers and one of the most-played courses in Scotland on Hole19, Newmachar Golf Club (Swailend) is an 18-hole, par-72 parkland layout designed by Dave Thomas and opened in 1997 in Scotland, United Kingdom. The course plays between 6,323 and 6,573 yards across terrain shaped by subtle contours and well-placed bunkers. The signature 9th hole sits on Hawkshill, and a 9-hole putting green overlooks that same hole. Practice facilities — shared across the club — include a floodlit 10-bay Driving Range with Trackman ball-tracing technology and a short-game area with two greens and two bunkers. Two coaches are available: Ronnie McDonald (Freelance PGA Professional) and Lee Vannet (Freelance PGA Advanced Professional). The clubhouse includes The Alba restaurant, which specialises in Scottish cuisine with fresh flavours and locally sourced ingredients, alongside two lounge areas and locker rooms with shower facilities. The Pro Shop accepts cash and card. Access is semi-private.
