Nara Kokusai Golf Club

Nara Kokusai Golf Club is an 18-hole hillside course in Nara Prefecture, Japan, divided into two distinct nines by the Hanna Road. The front nine opens up to sweeping views over Nara city. Greens are demanding and the par-3s play long, rewarding precise iron play. The back nine looks out toward Mount Ikoma, plays slightly shorter overall, and features more downhill approach shots from the second stroke onward. Greens here are more forgiving than on the front. The signature hole is the 17th, a dramatic downhill par where a pond guards the right side of the fairway. Beyond it sit two bunkers known as the "Buddha's Footprints" — a distinctive and challenging hazard that has made this hole a talking point among visitors.
