Nan Fong Golf Club

Nan Fong Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Nantou County, Taiwan, designed by legendary Mexican-American golfer Lee Trevino. The layout follows the mountainside, with a relatively flat front nine and a more demanding uphill back nine. North-south oriented fairways shield golfers from direct sunlight in the early morning and afternoon, while soft breezes are a near-constant presence. On clear days, the course offers open views of downtown Nantou and Taichung, with Jiujiu Peak and the Central Mountain Range visible in the distance. The American-style fairways are shaped around natural undulations, adding challenge to approach play while also serving as an effective drainage system that keeps the course playable after rain. On overcast or rainy days, low-hanging clouds create a distinctive atmosphere across the mountain setting.
