Hole 17 at Naas Golf Club — a par 3 playing 178 yards over water — gives a clear indication of what this County Kildare, Ireland parkland has in store. Designed by Jeff Howes and opened in 1992, the 18-hole, par-71 layout runs across rolling terrain with tree-lined fairways and undulating greens framed by mature Elm, Beech and Chestnut trees. Hole 13 adds further variety: an elevated tee sweeps down to a valley lined with towering pines on this par 5. Rated 4.7 by 100+ Hole19 golfers, the course is semi-private. Practice facilities are substantial — 10 indoor and 20 outdoor flood-lit bays with a practice area and putting green sit within walking distance of the first tee, alongside a new short-game practice area. Bliss Cuisine serves a full lounge and restaurant menu seven days a week in high season and five days a week off season, recently refurbished with panoramic views of the parkland course. The bar is noted for what the club calls the best pint of Guinness in Kildare.
