Description
Myrtle Beach National (West) is an 18-hole layout carved through secluded Carolina pines, with no housing in sight and a natural setting shared with its sister course, King's North. The design favors accessibility across all skill levels. Fairways are wide, and the large Mini Verde Bermuda grass greens are open at the front but slope heavily from back to front. All par-4s play under 400 yards from the middle-back tees, and every par-5 can be reached in two, each coming in under 500 yards. The course closes on a memorable note — a lengthy par-3 with water running the full length of the left side. Situated off Hwy. 501 in the heart of Myrtle Beach, the course is one of the most-played in South Carolina on Hole19 and carries an average rating of 4.3 from Hole19 golfers.

Ryan KingJuly 16, 2024Course has the capacity to be a 4-5 star close. Layout is nice. Course does not seem to be maintained though. Fairways are not good at all. All the ponds on the front 9 have literally 6 inches of water in them. Bunkers were basically concrete. A lot of bare patches on the greens. Disappointing especially considering the green fee.

Greens were in great shape. Fairways could use some grass on them but not in bad shape.
