Mount Edgecombe Country Club (The Woods)

Mount Edgecombe Country Club (The Woods) is a semi-private parkland course in Mount Edgecombe, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, designed by Sid Brews and opened in 1936. The back nine carries much of the course's character. The par-3 15th plays entirely over water to a perched green, while the 16th requires a tee shot that carries a dam before a precise approach to a protected green. The 14th is a par-5 built around risk-and-reward, with water guarding the green, and the 18th closes with water beside a sloping green. The 13th adds a different test: an uphill hole where a lone tree shapes the strategic options. The pro shop is run by PGA Professionals and stocks leading golf brands, apparel, equipment, and accessories, alongside a Custom Fitting Centre with TrackMan technology. Manicured putting greens are available for practice. Rated 4.4 and one of the most-played courses in KwaZulu-Natal on Hole19.
