Moors Golf Club

Moors Golf Club is a private 18-hole course in Portage, Michigan, designed by Arthur Hills and opened in 1979. The layout runs across sandy uplands and forests, threading through marsh and protected marshlands, with scenic bridges connecting stretches of the course. It plays to a par of 72 from a maximum of 6,831 yards. Hole 15 marks the start of what members and guests call The Moors Finish, a closing stretch the club considers its signature sequence. The club has hosted a range of qualifying events and amateur competitions, including the 2013 U.S. Open Qualifier, the 2015 U.S. Amateur Qualifier, the 2008 Michigan Amateur, and multiple other USGA and state-level qualifiers between 2003 and 2015. Practice facilities include a driving range, a putting green, and an Arthur Hills-designed short game area with pitching, chipping, and bunker practice. Individual lessons are available. The Moors Golf Shop carries current apparel and equipment, and the Grille Room serves as the on-site dining option.
