Meadowbrook Country Club

Meadowbrook Country Club in Michigan hosted the 1955 PGA Championship and the Motor City Open, giving this Willie Park Jr. design a notable place in American golf history. Park laid out the private 18-hole layout in 1916, and the course retains the bunkering, stream channels, brooks, ponds, hills and valleys, and fescue that define its character. Hole 4, the number one handicap hole, demands a risk/reward second shot over a fairway bunker complex. Hole 9 is a short par four shaped by a drainage channel and dramatic bunkering. Hole 15 is the lengthiest on the course at 442 yards. Meadowbrook is a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Michigan. The clubhouse includes The Centennial Room restaurant and the Willie Park Pub, along with an outdoor patio overlooking the pool and 18th green.
