Mayan Golf Club

Mayan Golf Club, a private 18-hole layout in Villa Nueva, Guatemala Department, was designed by Carl H. Anderson and opened in 1964. The course stretches beyond 7,000 yards and incorporates water hazards, bunkers, elevation changes, and lake views. Hole 5 is a par 5 of 604 yards, noted as the longest hole in Central America. Hole 6 is a par 4 of 429 yards, the longest par 4 on the front nine. Hole 16, a par 4 of 414 yards, is the longest par 4 on the back nine and plays around a preserved flamboyán tree. The club has hosted the Torneo del Barrilete. A dedicated driving range is available for members. The club also has locker rooms, a pool with trampolines, a golf simulator, gym, sauna, tennis, basketball, volleyball, ping-pong tables, and pergolas, with bowling and a boutique hotel in development.
