MaraHills Golf Resort sits in the hills above Mara Lake in British Columbia's Shuswap region, an 18-hole layout designed by Les Furber. Furber courses demand a full shot repertoire and punish complacency off the tee — this one is no different. The routing winds through thick evergreen forest and crosses ravines, delivering equal measures of scenery and difficulty. The signature hole is the 4th, known as Geronimo. A par 4 stretching 483 yards from the back tees, it features a tee box perched 265 feet above the fairway with sweeping views of the lake below. The elevation drop works in your favour — a solid 3-wood can carry the trees and reach the fairway, with shots commonly travelling 300 yards off the tee.
