Mar Del Plata Golf Club (Cancha Nueva)

Mar Del Plata Golf Club (Cancha Nueva) is an 18-hole links-style course in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, with a history stretching back to the late 19th century. The layout plays in the tradition of Scottish links golf — compact and rolling, with narrow fairways, a sandy base, and natural undulation throughout. From the men's tees it measures 6,052 yards at par 70, while the ladies' course runs 5,560 yards at par 72. The course was inaugurated in its full 18-hole form in December 1915 under the direction of Juan Dentone, the professional who first shaped the grounds during the 1899–1900 summer season. Roberto de Vicenzo, one of Argentina's most celebrated golfers, famously called it "La Catedral del Golf." The club also features a nine-hole course designed by Jack Park, intended for younger players.
