Mannings Heath Golf Club (Waterfall) is an 18-hole course established in 1905 and widely regarded as the jewel of Sussex golf. Set within over 300 acres of rolling Sussex downs, the course weaves through mature deciduous woodland and streams, with patchwork fairways that blend heathland, downland, and parkland into a single engaging layout. The quality of the design has earned genuine recognition. Gary Player selected the 11th hole, known as The Valley, for his imaginary top 18 holes in the world — a mark of distinction few courses can claim. Several holes demand real accuracy from the tee. The opening hole is played from an elevated tee in the shadow of a 17th-century clubhouse, requiring a long, precise drive over a wooded valley.
