Description
Lusaka Golf Club is widely regarded as probably Zambia's most prestigious sporting facility, drawing golfers of many nationalities to the country's capital. The club was officially opened in 1935, originally stretching from what is now the Lusaka Club through Sunningdale. Alterations during the Second World War brought new holes and redefined the layout away from the Sunningdale area. The course took its modern form in 1958, with all 18 holes fully developed by 1962. Further changes and improvements over the years have made the challenge more demanding. Today the course plays to a par 73 over 6,600 metres in a parkland setting. Five water holes add to the test, and the greens are maintained to international standards. Full country club facilities are available on site. Rated 4.6 by Hole19 golfers, with 70 or more reviews recorded on the platform.
