Long Prairie Country Club

Long Prairie Country Club, a semi-private 18-hole course in Long Prairie, Minnesota, opened in 1927 across rolling prairie grasslands and tumbling hills shaded by 200-plus-year-old oak trees. Three holes stand out on the layout. Hole 8 is regarded as the most difficult par 3 without a hazard in all of Minnesota. Hole 13 demands a carry of approximately 175 yards from the middle tees to clear a retired gravel mine, with water left and out-of-bounds woods right. Hole 14 plays 130 yards from an elevated tee box to a narrow green wrapped by water along the front, left, and back. A practice green and a Junior Golf Camp for ages 5 to 13 — covering putting, chipping, pitching, and full swing — are available on site. The pro shop carries accessories and apparel from brands including Callaway, Titleist, Bridgestone, Foot Joy, and Adidas. The clubhouse includes a full bar, a deck for guests, and a banquet room with large windows overlooking the 18th green that seats up to 125 people. Food service runs to pizza, hot dogs, deli sandwiches, and snacks.
