Lewes Golf Club

Set on downland terrain in Lewes, England, Lewes Golf Club has been in play since 1896, making it one of the longer-established courses in the region. The 18-hole layout follows the natural contours of the downs, with the open, rolling character typical of this type of ground. The club is semi-private, with access available to visiting golfers. Rated 4.5 by 70+ Hole19 golfers, it holds a solid reputation among those who have played it. Practice facilities are thorough. A driving range operates from 8am–5pm in summer and 8am–3pm in winter, with tokens available from the Pro Shop. A putting green and small chipping area sit adjacent to the 1st tee, alongside a practice net. A three-hole short game and academy area, with holes ranging from 45 to 90 yards, is located at the far end of the range. The Pro Shop is led by Head PGA Professional Brad Harris, who offers lessons and custom fitting using TrackMan and GCQuad technology. Coaching programs include a Women's Pathway to Golf and a Try Golf Scheme. On-site restaurant Marks Meals, run by Mark with over 20 years of industry experience, serves breakfasts, main meals, sandwiches, and society and dinner menus.
