LaPlaya Golf Club

LaPlaya Golf Club is a private, 18-hole course in North Naples, Florida, designed by Bob Cupp and opened in 2002. The layout runs across rolling fairways with water features and indigenous landscaping throughout. The opening hole sets an early test with a dogleg left around a large lake and bunkers guarding the left half of the green, while hole 5 plays as a long par four with a raised landing area and mounding elevation changes. Practice facilities are substantial: a seven-acre tee area with a full-length driving range, a 10,000 square-foot practice putting green near the first tee with Tif-Eagle grass, a nine-hole practice putting green, and a team of on-site PGA and LPGA teaching professionals offering individual, digital video, junior, clinic, and playing lessons. The Grille Room serves a lunch menu, and the bar stays open until the last golfer leaves. Member locker rooms and bag storage are also available. LaPlaya has received a 2016 Silver Medal Award for Resort Golf Courses from Golf Magazine and recognition from Condé Nast Traveler.
