Description
Lakewood Golf Course, a public 18-hole, par-72 layout in Madison, Maine, stretches to 6,279 yards and was designed by Phil Wogan, opening in 1925. The course combines links and parkland character across tree-lined fairways framed by white pines and Maine woods. Views of Lake Wesserunsett and the Sugarloaf and Western Mountains are visible from the property. Hole 12 is the standout: Maine's only par 6, playing alongside a Covered Bridge. The pro shop carries name-brand equipment and apparel, including FootJoy and Ahead lines for men and women, with club storage, club repair, and cart rentals available. The clubhouse is also available for weddings and other special occasions.
