Great layout and a beautiful course. 3 stars due to my experience today and it’s a pity. Played last week and had a great time, though the course was being maintained and work was ongoing, we still had a great time and enjoyed the round. Turned up today and paid more money for the round as we were told the maintenance was complete. Every green on the back 9 was filled with sand which had recently been put down. We were told when we got into the clubhouse that this was our own fault as we played to quick (3 1/2 hours - 2 ball with a buggy) and did not allow the green staff to get the work done. We were told that there is a rule that a round should take 4 1/2 hours at least. Otherwise a great course but just be mindful not to play early in the morning and don’t play at your normal steady pace

Fantastic course but rather too challenging for the novice. Too many hazards to lose your balls in for my taste too.
