Kusatsu Kogen Golf Course

Kusatsu Kogen Golf Course is an 18-hole highland course set at around 1,300 metres elevation in Kusatsu, Gunma Prefecture, Japan. Holes are laid out across hilly terrain rich with birch trees, and many play directly toward the peaks of Shiranesan and Hachimansan, giving the course a wide, open feel that is distinctly alpine in character. Despite its resort setting, the course demands respect. Generous distances and well-placed water hazards punish careless play. The standout hole is the 18th, a par-3 where a deep valley separates the tee from the green entirely — a dramatic finish that defines the course's character.
