Description
Designed by Adamson and McMurtie and opened in 1903, Kobe Golf Club in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan is one of the oldest golf clubs in the country. The private 18-hole layout plays to a par of 61 across 3,851–4,049 yards. The club's tournament record is notable for its firsts: it hosted the first Japanese Amateur Championship in 1907, the first Japanese women's competition in 1905, the first Japanese long-drive competition in 1905, and the first Japanese caddie competition in 1905. The clubhouse includes a Chamber (チェンバー) and a members' room that holds the original roll of members — a tangible link to the club's founding era.
