Kitanomori Country Club

Kitanomori Country Club is an 18-hole hillside course set at 750 metres above sea level on the slopes of the Yatsugatake mountains in Hokuto, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. Despite the elevation, the layout is relatively flat with a height difference of just 50 metres throughout. The course is surrounded on all sides by dramatic mountain scenery — the Yatsugatake range to the north, the Southern Alps and Kai Komagatake to the west, the Chichibu mountains to the east, and Mount Fuji to the south — making for a full 360-degree panorama from the course. Following a 2006 renovation, the fairways were re-turfed with Noshiba grass, the greens with bentgrass A-series, and the teeing grounds with Kentucky bluegrass. Each hole combines natural beauty with dynamic design, offering an enjoyable round for golfers of all levels across every season.
