Possibly a place on the up as there is clearly a lot of money being spent on facilities and the lodges, which are active work sites. The greens are bone dry, bobbly, browned and cracked. They haven’t seen meaningful water for weeks or possibly even months but are just about playable. No rakes in bunkers and ball cleaners are rare. The course is however great value even with these things in mind. It has a good variety of holes and plenty of water to watch out for. Currently not rated for WHS/handicaps but there is a lot of potentially here, hopefully with a winter of investment. Very friendly and welcoming pro shop staff and they do a round and pint deal for £20.
