Architect Tom Steele's classic 18-hole design routes play through canopies of giant oak, pine, and dogwood, weaving the natural landscape into every challenge the layout presents. The course is maintained in tournament condition and has the credentials to prove it — Kilmarlic hosted the North Carolina Open in both 2004 and 2009. George MoodAugust 01, 2022The good part; Great course in excellent playing condition despite recent heavy rain. Greens ran true, were soft and held the ball nicely. Service staff was great. The bad part: pro shop attendant told one of us to leave the course right now due to a misunderstanding of application of reduced green fees (confusion over the time of day the coupon went into effect. ) Were it not for the attitude of the pro shop staff I would have given this course 5 stars. Having played this course numerous times in the past, this attitude was a serious departure from my previous experience here.

The staff was pleasant and for a round in August the conditions were exemplary. I loved my experience from start to finish.
