Kibougaoka Country Club

Kibougaoka Country Club is a 36-hole hillside course in Motegi, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, where an elevation change of around 20 metres runs through tree-lined fairways that separate each hole into its own distinct space. Ponds are few, but well-placed bunkers guard the key scoring areas throughout. Greens average just 450 square metres, so precise approach play is essential. The front nine features undulation on both the fairways and the greens, demanding careful course management. A standout hole is the par-3 3rd, where a long bunker stretching across the front of the green has earned the nickname "Milky Way Bunker." The back nine plays longer and is more straightforward in design, but distance off the tee is needed to score well.
