Kapuskasing Golf Club

Kapuskasing Golf Club is one of the most-played courses in Ontario on Hole19, and it's easy to see why. Established in 1937 and carved out of the thick forests of Northern Ontario, this 18-hole layout demands precise shot placement at every turn. Mature trees line the narrow fairways, and sand traps appear on almost every hole. The wooded terrain features gentle elevation changes, while the poa annua greens are generally moderate in size. Water hazards come into play on holes 1, 4, 6, and 9, raising the stakes throughout the round. The par-5 6th hole, measuring 514 yards, is rated the most difficult on the course. A pond threatens the left side off the tee, and a large willow tree sits in the fairway. The approach demands a precise lay-up into a narrow landing zone, with bunkers punishing long hitters who chase the green in two, and water swallowing anything left or short. A genuine test for golfers of all skill levels.
