Kankakee Elks Country Club

Kankakee Elks Country Club is an 18-hole layout in Illinois designed in 1926 by the Golden Age duo of William B. Langford and Theodore Moreau, the same team behind Links of Lawsonia in Wisconsin and Harrison Hills in Indiana. Set along the banks of the Kankakee River, the course was carved from dense forest into a series of engaging holes. At 6,430 yards, the layout's primary defense isn't found in its handful of bunkers or single water hazard — it lives on the greens. Satin-smooth and notably swift, these surfaces are widely regarded as the finest south of I-80, and their undulating contours make holding and converting putts a genuine challenge at every turn.
